REUNIONS
Ok, so I cheated. I'm writing this post on Sunday, but 'publishing post' on Saturday so that it still looks like I'm thankful everyday leading up to Thanksgiving. I was thankful for this yesterday...and today too.
Friday night, we had a girls reunion at Janelle's lakehouse in Grandbury. I should've taken more pictures, but by the time I thought about it, we all looked slightly less than our best (aka PJ's, makeup off, etc). This reunion was so sweet. Ann, Janelle and Tracy have been friends of mine since 3rd grade or earlier. They know how to read me and I'm pretty good at reading them as well. We've shared so much in life. Families, friends, teachers, sports, memories, arguments, homework, clothing, and more. I love them each dearly and differently. They are all three steadily pursuing Christ and have been as long as I've known them. I loved hearing about their lives these days. I loved laying on the bed with Ann catching up and listening to her compassionate wisdom. I loved making pumpkin bread with Janelle in the kitchen and remembering just how easy it is to be with her and feel lighter about life. I loved hugging little Tracy and seeing once again what an encouraging friend she is.
I love, love, love these girls.
