I live right behind a small, pretty lake with a trail to walk/jog around.
That's nice...except parts of it are a little sketchy,
ie -- don't go at night,
avoid eye contact with the drunk men fishing under the bridge,
brace yourself for being whistled at by construction workers,
brace yourself for being whistled at by construction workers,
don't be surprised by the man running in his whitey-tighties, wife beater & sweatband,
pretend you don't see the people making out in every corner, etc...
Today, Alissa & I went for a walk.
She's an adventurous one.
Instead of going right to the lake path,
we went left and cut through a random trail only to find ourselves on the most adorable street with million dollar homes, trees, kids playing, dogs.
It only took us 3 months to discover, but wow!
