Because the end of all times is near (May 27 - last day of school!!), I've been trying to end my weekly groups with my students on a super-fun, but still unifying and purposeful, activity. For my 5th and 6th grade girls group this week, I taught the girls to make flower headbands like these: http://laurenandnelson.blogspot.com/2010/12/diy-headband-with-felt-roses.htm I have one that my sister in law, Lauren, made me a few months back. Every time I wear it, my girls LOVE it! So, yes, this weekend I started making about 40 little hearts, and Tuesday we went to town!!
Then today, I saw this cute headband. I'm inspired, even though I may never wear a headband this big. Nevertheless, I'll be making it soon!
