moments.

I love my little kiddos and sometimes giggle because they are so darn cute! Those are the moments I wish I had a friend in the room with me to share the moment.

So, friend, a few moments from today:

While looking at the shadow on my neck: "Miss Staats, why is your skin turning brown?"

Me: "Are you chewing gum?" Kindergartener:"No...um (guilty look)...wait, is that what they call this stuff these days?" (pulling a giant wad of gum out of her mouth)

Accompanied by a giant, unexpected hug from a little 7 year old boy: "Miss Staats, you look beautiful today. It's cause of your clothes."

"Have you ever tried bananas on your pizza? It's delicious!!" "Even better - you should put them in your salad with ranch!" ~ahh 2nd grade chefs

"Would you just please give me the biggest hug today?" ~a sad 8 year old girl

"I'm not scared anymore though because I saw 2 butterflies today and one of them even landed on my mama's shoulder. They're good luck you know. So nothing can go wrong for me today." not exactly reality, but sweet...

1st grader: "You owe me a sticker?!" me: "Why?" 1st grader: "Cause I want you to owe me a sticker!!...Please?" Me: "No. That's not how this works."

"Excuse me - we cannot sing in the hallway." "But my mom says I have a really good voice." ~1st grader

(Random look of terror): "Miss Staats, I gotta use it. NOW!!"
